Regina Education & Action on Child Hunger (REACH) is a nonprofit, charitable organization, dedicated to ensuring that every single child in Regina community has enough safe and nutritious food to eat.
REACH is the largest community-driven child feeding program in Regina, providing funding and support to community groups and agencies who served up over 270,000 nutritious meals and snacks to 5,000 children last year, and over two and a half million meals and snacks since 1990.
REACH also manages food security initiatives which are providing seniors, shut-ins, healthcare patients, SAP recipients, young families, and others, with easy access to safe, nutritious and affordable food. These initiatives operate under the auspices of the Regina Food Security Project partnership and in collaboration with the Regina Qu'Appelle Health Region.
REACH is a charitable, umbrella organization, working with many of Regina's finest child-serving agencies. It is grateful for the generous support of community groups, organizations, clubs, churches, schools, unions, businesses and individuals who share its vision of a community where no child goes hungry. REACH accepts financial contributions and in-kind gifts on behalf of Member Agencies and can provide a tax receipt for donations over $10.
REACH runs the R Healthy Food Store located on the second floor at the Albert Scott Community Centre. The R Healthy Food Store is open Monday -Thursday 12 pm - 4 pm, Friday 9 am - 12 pm. The R Healthy Food Store provides healthy nutritious food at discounted prices.
